Terry Fields | Christina Smiley | Scott Fletcher Terry Fields - Director of Operations Terry Fields, Director of Operations for Life Policy Dynamics, LLC (LPD) manages the delivery of customized client services to a broad range of funding entities, providers, brokers and agents within the life settlement business His primary responsibilities include overseeing valuations of policies using sales and in-force illustrations, portfolio optimization, purchase contract verification, premium management, net asset value calculations, medical record and life expectancy retrieval, maintaining contact with insureds and the processing of insurance claims. Mr. Fields brings a life settlement background to LPD, most recently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for an industry leading provider firm. In that capacity he managed the financial risks of the business and oversaw all finance/accounting operations. His responsibilities also included annual reporting to the individual state departments of insurance. Mr. Fields’ background includes work with internationally renowned auditing and consulting firms as well as financial services work that includes contract review, maintaining relationships with broker/dealers, establishing financial management policies and procedures and establishing and monitoring internal controls over finance and accounting processes. Mr. Fields completed undergraduate work at The College of Wooster in Ohio, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and received a Master’s of Science Degree in Accounting from American University in Washington, DC. Return to Top Christina Smiley - Life Policy Analyst Ms. Smiley’s main focuses are proposed and in-force policy valuations, as well as coordinating the purchase contract process for outsourcing clients, and reviewing and verifying client’s purchase documents. She also performs portfolio management, quality control, and contract verification. Ms. Smiley joined LPD with more than 12 years of insurance experience. Her insurance career includes experience as a Compliance Coordinator and Relationship Manager with The Potomac Group (a BISYS Company), where she was hands-on with setting the corporate contracts in place with core carriers, managing officer’s licenses, as well as managing their internal broker dealer representatives. From there, she transitioned into Marketing as a Relationship Manger, where she acted as an Internal Wholesaler, supporting Regional Directors in various territories across the US, along with managing in-house teams focused on meeting the needs of agents and recruiting/building new agent relationships. She began her insurance career at Banner Life where she transitioned the company’s licensing department from career agents into the brokerage world by implementing a new database and distributing/processing contracts and licenses for new Brokerage General Agents. Return to Top Scott Fletcher - Life Policy Analyst Mr. Fletcher is responsible for the initial set-up of policies for LPD’s clients for both pre-purchase and post-purchase activities. For clients in need of pre-purchase activities, Mr. Fletcher qualifies incoming policies according to client’s parameters and provides reporting to them on a daily basis. For clients in need of post-purchase servicing, Mr. Fletcher maintains quarterly contact with insureds and their designated contacts and performs database searches every two weeks. He also monitors policies by calling insurance companies monthly to obtain updated values and cost of insurance for each policy. Mr. Fletcher served in the United States Marine Corps as well as the Reserves before breaking into the settlement market in early 2007. Return to Top
